ok, so I know you’ve probably heard of Vitamininmotion - she’s pixie cute, kinda craftsy and pretty darn fashion-fearless. I ran across her again today and have to give her a shout out. Seriously - everything she does is spot on! she’s on weardrobe…

Can’t say why, but I really want to check out these super tall platform sandals from Old Navy. They have a sorta-40s wedgie style that draws me in, I think. Now, I would wait till they go on super sale if I was to even get them as they are ‘faux patent’, or in realspeak - plastic.

These fresh lace up oxfords do the trick, white leather is a bit unexpected but surprisingly versatile and these authentic 80s vintage ones are in excellent condition. We love the dots and flowers cut outs! Get ‘em while you can!

My mind is already thinking ahead of the fall… as is everyone’s! And I don’t know if you are like me, but each season I try to form a ‘look’ I am going to have. It makes it easier to gather the few pieces missing in your wardrobe and have fun mixing and matching. One year my fall idea was Fair Island sweaters w/wool pleated Pendleton skirts and knee socks…yeah, that one didn’t really pan out. In any event I love this gal’s fearless mix of 40s era and sparkle…now where to get a sequinned cardi…

Ok, so its still not super hot where I am, dunno what the deal is. Today its supposed to actually go over 70 degrees, but today is also the day I want to wear my boots. Why do these things always clash?! The day I want to wear a fun sundress I freeze, and the day I feel the need to layer and bust out the boots it’s hot. Ah well, there’s always this lass who seems to have both camps covered:

sweet&light

P.S. how cute is the jewelry holder on the wall?!

love this no-fear combo! I’m always a sucker for gingham, even tho it’s so picnic. Maybe that’s why I like it - I always think of summer outdoors!

Dear Coveters,

Recently we were lucky enough to have a lovely Emilio Pucci for Formfit Rogers bell sleeve beauty in an AMAZING shade of coral! Well, we are pleased to say this rare Pucci has found a new home! An avid and obviously elegant collector was very happy to be the one to snap it up! She shared with us a lovely story about the meaning and milestones that clothing can mark in our lives…

She writes “…it is a rare print to find indeed. My grandparents owned a winter home in Palm Springs from 1975-1986. It was my favorite place to visit and I have always adopted my Grandmother’s style and taste in clothes and furniture. (Mid-Century Modern)

This year we found out the house was for sale and my parents and I took a trip to see the house. My grandmother was my mom’s mom. When we got to the hotel, The Parker, which was very much my grandmother’s taste for decorating, we started unpacking. And my mom turned to me and said “Now all you need is that pink house dress she always wore.” And I said “You mean like this one?” And I pulled it out. Needless to say, we both started crying. A very emotional experience and time for us. I know it’s silly and it’s just a piece of clothing, but it just represents so much to me. Thank you again so so much!”
EPFR
We just love to hear this; its endlessly fascinating to us the way a simple garment can affect you, change the way you feel or become something more that just cloth. We are so glad to know this Pucci will be cherished! Clothing reflects the inner person, so be brave and let us know who you are!
