Buying Vintage/Sizing
Buying Vintage: Our items are true Vintage... vintage clothing has been worn, most items are decades old and will show natural signs of wear & age. This is to be expected and is a given. These items are NOT NEW! Please do not have unrealistic expectations of perfection. If you have allergies/sensitivities, please do not purchase with us as we cannot guarantee our items 'previous lives'... Remember, Vintage is cool because it has character!
If you have concerns with an item, please email us first!!! We go over every item with a fine tooth comb, and try to describe any flaws in our descriptions to the best of our abilities - remember, some natural wear is to be expected. We do minor repair if necessary, and at times we alter a garment to make it fresh for a modern vintage wearer. All items are sold "AS IS", please make sure to read through the entire description we provide to you. Wear Vintage - its a green choice!
Sizing: We recommend you compare the carefully provided measurements to a well fitting garment you already own...remember to leave breathing room! We provide a 'fits like' size for general reference based upon our experience of sizing. Vintage sizes are apt to run small. Please, please, please double check measurements carefully! There are no returns, exchanges or store credit. Items may be clipped to our model to show proper fit.
Clothing: measured laying flat on the OUTSIDE of the garment, using a cloth measuring tape. Chest/waist/Hip measurements will need to be doubled. Measurements are provided in US inches.
- Shoulders: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam on garment, across back
- Chest: Under the armpit, across the chest front
- Waist: (for skirts/dresses/pants): Measured at waistline of item, unstretched
- Hip: Measured at hipline, at widest point
- Sleeves: Measured along top of the sleeve from shoulder seam to end of cuff
- Length: From top of shoulder on front of garment to hem
Shoes: Vintage shoes tend to run a bit smaller than the actual marked number. We provide a length measurement to the best of our ability.
- Length: Measured outside along the sole of the shoe, from heel to toe
- Width: Measured outside on the bottom sole across the widest part of the ball of the foot
- Height (for boots): Measured from the ground to the top of the boot shaft (includes heel)
- Circumference: (for boots) Measured inside diameter of the top of the boot shaft/calf
- Heel: Measured from the bottom of heel flat against the ground to the sole
